Overview - Force10 Compatible 2.488 Gbps SFP Transceiver (GP-SFP-OC48-1IR1)
This Force10 compatible small form factor hot pluggable fiber optic transceiver operates at a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm and has a long transmission distance of up to 15 km over single-mode fiber (SMF). It provides standard AC coupled CML for high speed signal and LVTTL control and monitoring of signals. This hot pluggable optical transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter uses a 1310 nm DFB laser diode (LD); the receiver section uses an integrated InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. In addition, the transceiver is compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and SFF-8472.
