Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched this CATV analyzer for digital/analog TV transmission networks, which is an ideal tool for troubleshooting network problems and monitoring potential network security attacks. It tests analog TV indexes, digital TV QAM modulation channel power and MER and BER modulation. It is specially designed for digital and analog mixed network testing and two-way network construction and maintenance.

This handheld CATV analyzer, model 783A, operates over a wide frequency range of 5MHz to 870MHz. It features arbitrary waveform power detection of forward and backward system modulation signals, wide dynamic spectrum analysis reflecting the spectrum condition of the signal, full-auto simulation and digital channel search and creation. Both auto measurement and slope measurement modes are available. It automatically obtains parameters including total number of channels, channel type (analog or digital), and channel spectrum in its auto-measurement mode. This rugged analyzer is equipped with a high-contrast, backlit LCD screen and incorporates a high interference immunity design to ensure that TV images are displayed at the best graphic quality. In addition, this shock-resistant analyzer offers protection against harsh environments and is able to operate continuously for more than 16 hours on a single charge.
