Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has released its portable circuit fault tester , which is designed to perform fault testing on local telephone circuits. This portable fault tester is used by telecom and exchange room operating staff, line attendants, mobile phone servicing staff and other telecom technicians.
The optimized circuit fault tester, model 8AS, provides rich functions such as automatic line state assessment, loop resistance and dielectric resistance measurement, field calibration and line alignment which can be achieved even when all line parameters are unknown on a line of known length. This portable circuit fault tester tests for defective insulation and telephone line state. It also detects presence of high voltage and wire breaks at distances of up to 9km with a 1m resolution. Wire cables with diameters of 0.32mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm can be tested in local communication lines. Additionally, the fault tester works continuously for ten hours when it is fully charged.
