40 MHz USB PC-Based Oscilloscope

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched this 40 MHz USB PC-based oscilloscope which is a high performance 8 bit, two-channel computer based USB digital storage oscilloscope. It is commonly used for testing and maintenance of data lines, electronic equipment and in laboratory work.

This easy-to-use PC-based oscilloscope, model A0120001, features a maximum real-time sampling rate of up to 100 MS/s and 40 MHz bandwidth. It combines the functions of an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, waveform recorder, signal generator, voltmeter and cymometer.

This versatile and widely-used oscilloscope has 23 measurement functions and PASS/FALL checking functions. The triggering modes include auto, normal and single and the triggering level is adjustable. The scope provides FFT spectrum analysis and four adjustable vertical modes including CH1, CH2, Dual and ADD. It displays waveform average, persistence, intensity, invert, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and X-Y plot.

Waveforms can be saved in text, MS Word, Excel or graphic files (JPG or BMP) formats under most Windows OS up to Vista. In addition, it is compatible with USB 2.0 and requires no external power.

Handheld E1 Bit Error Rate (BER) Tester

1000M Dual Port Media Converter

Toronto, Canada - GAO Tek Inc. is offering its 1000M dual port media converter. It uses physical layer technology to implement media conversion compliant with IEEE802.3z and IEEE802.3ab standards. The media converter is specifically designed for mission-critical networks such as Telco/ISP backbones or enterprise networks.

This 1000M Ethernet media converter, model C0330005, features a modular design and hot-pluggable SFP footprint. It provides a 1000M SFP port and a UTP port and allows for full-duplex and half-duplex transmission modes.

Two types of media network connections including 1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX/LX are provided. This media converter conducts mutual conversion between 1000Base-T twisted pair electrical signal and 1000Base-SX/LX optical signal.

This media converter extends the transmission distance of a network from 100 m over copper wires to up to 80 km through optical fiber link. Alarm LED illuminates to indicate link failure, while the status LEDs fully monitor the convertor’s operational status making observation and diagnoses easy.

Additionally, taking advantage of intelligent connection technology, the media converter provides an auto-negotiation function thereby eliminating the need to manually configure or monitor settings.

4 port Gigabit Ethernet switch

Toronto, Canada - GAO Tek Inc. is offering this highly stable 4 port Gigabit Ethernet switch. It has two 10/100/1000 M RJ45 ports and two 1000 M SFP sockets. End users are offered the flexibility to use a variety of SFP modules according to requirement such as 1000Base-T, 1000Base-SX and 1000Base-LX.

This 4 port Gigabit Ethernet switch, model C0330004, converts optical/electrical Ethernet signals between 10/100/1000M UTP ports and 1000M optical fiber ports.

With an auto negotiation function, it allows for UTP ports to auto 10/100/1000M and Full duplex/Half Duplex. It also allows for VLAN and QoS and provides broadcast storm protection. It has 12 G bandwidth which can be transmitted to achieve non-blocking wire-speed.

Digital Storage Oscilloscope for Field Use

DDS Arbitrary Function Generator/Counter

Toronto, Canada - GAO Tek Inc. has launched its DDS arbitrary function generator/counter for such applications as communication equipment and electronic components production.

This direct digital synthesis (DDS) arbitrary function generator and counter, model A0230002, has outstanding features including convenient data input via knob or numerical keyboard and remote SCPI compatible program-control via RS232, GPIB, and USB interfaces. It boasts high pulse duty ratio resolution of up to 0.001, high resolution and accuracy of digital FM and 0.1° phase adjustment resolution.

Using direct digital synthesis (DDS) and VFD (visible vacuum fluorescent) techniques, it creates stable and accurate output signals with a wide selection of low distortion standard and arbitrary waveforms. It provides standard or internal storage of 27 fixed waveforms and 8 to 16000 configurable memory points for arbitrary waveforms.

This direct digital synthesis (DDS) arbitrary function generator and counter also allows for the arbitrary setting of AM modulation from 1% to 120% and the setting of start and end frequency for frequency scan output. It implements continuous phase adjustment in trig mode. In addition, it can store and recall 10 groups of configurations.

This DDS arbitrary function generator/counter belongs to GAO’s family of Logic Analyzers and Generators. Portable PCM Channel Analyzer
