High Performance Network Video Server

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has offered this high performance network video server which provides fast, high-quality video compression by using a high speed digital processor. It is an ideal tool for the transmission of video and audio over networks in real time.

This network video server, model TVS-21, uses an advanced operating system and new audio/video compression technology to for high quality image transmission and offers D1 format which is compatible with HALF-D1 and CIF format. This network video server utilizes an embedded server to support Web monitoring, configuration and upgrade. It allows remote view of video through a Web browser. It also provides bi-directional talk and dynamic IP addressing which enables real-time transmission of video and audio over the network. Its maximum output frame rate is 30 fps and the minimum network bandwidth occupation is 32 kbps. The server has an ODS function and an adjustable frame rate of 1 to 30 f/s according to bandwidth.

DDS Arbitrary Signal Generator/Counter

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. is offering its DDS function/arbitrary generator/counter widely used in communication equipment and electronic components production. It uses direct digital synthesis (DDS) and VFD (visible vacuum fluorescent) techniques to create stable and accurate output signals, low distortion sine waves and a wide selection of standard and arbitrary waveforms. This device belongs to GAO’s Logic Analyzer and Generator family of products.

This digital generator/counter, model 40, boasts high pulse duty ratio resolution of up to 0.001, high resolution and accuracy of digital FM and 0.1° phase adjustment resolution. It offers standard or internal storage of 27 fixed waveforms and 8 to 16000 configurable points for arbitrary waveforms. It also can store and recall 10 groups of configurations. This digital generator allows for the setting of AM modulation from 1% to 120% and the setting of start and end frequency for frequency scan output. It implements continuous phase adjustment in trig mode. Input data is conveniently input via dial or numerical keypad. Additionally, it is compatible with SCPI and fully program-controlled via RS232, GPIB, and USB interface.

Graphic Digital Multimeter/DSO

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched its graphic digital multimeter (DMM) and digital storage oscilloscope (DSO). The DMM is a 4000 count auto-range True RMS digital multimeter. DMM functions include measurements of AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, power output, and diode and continuity check. It also offers DSO cursor readout including DeltaV, DeltaT, 1/DeltaT, as well as DSO auto measurements such as Vpp, Vavg, Vrms and dBm. It is an ideal solution for basic fault location and electronic troubleshooting. This multimeter/DSO belongs to GAO’s USB PC Based Oscilloscope family of products.

This handheld DMM/DSO, model A0120008, features fully automatic set up for volt/div and time/div DSO functions. It provides screen hold function, peak hold function, and relative measurement. The osicilloscope saves and recalls up to 100 waveforms and data. Auto, normal and single DSO trigger modes are available. It is equipped with a high contrast FSTN LCD with white LED backlight. It implements an auto-off function after an adjustable 5 to 60 minutes is powered by a polymer Li-ion battery with AC adapter. This unit operates continuously for up to 16 hours on a single charge.

High Performance Radio Frequency (RF) Spectrum Analyzer

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched its high performance radio frequency (RF) spectrum analyzer specially designed to install, test, troubleshoot, analyze and optimize wireless networks in telecommunications, broadcasting, CATV and EMC testing fields and other indoor and outdoor applications. It belongs to GAO’s Other Tester family of products.

This RF spectrum analyzer, model A0070002, operates over a wide frequency range of 9 kHz to 3 GHz at a resolution of 100 Hz to 1 MHz and offers a bandwidth accuracy of 25% (1 MHz)/ 10% (<1 MHz). It features a small size and light weight. This analyzer is equipped with most advanced technologies in the industry such as locked–phase local and all-digitized medium frequency processing technologies. It stores about 200 measured data which can be downloaded to a computer through its RS232 interface. It conforms to third-level equipment standard in GJB3947–2000. The radio frequency spectrum analyzer is equipped with a 6-inch VGA TFT color LCD screen providing clear signal detail. In addition, its large capacity rechargeable lithium battery ensures a long operating time.

Multi-Function Digital Signal Level Meter

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has released its digital signal level meter specially designed for use in the maintenance of digital, analog, digital FM, dual channel measurement or bilateral networks. It performs auto channel spectrum scanning, limit testing and auto testing. This portable digital signal level meter allows direct entry of a channel or frequency and offers great flexibility in head-ends and distribution networks that employ narrow digital signals or non-standard frequency applications. It features a durable and portable design, easy keypad operation, high accuracy and quick response time. This meter belongs to GAO’s CATV Meter family of products.

This handheld digital signal level meter, model 1129D, operates over a frequency range of 5 to 870 MHz. It is packed with multiple functions such as single and multi-channel testing, all-band scanning, difference-carrying measurement, automatic channel power measurement, MER  (modulation error ratio) measurement, BER (bit error rate) measurement and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR, S/N) measurement. This digital signal level meter offers a bandwidth of 0.28 to 9.99 MHz and a signal level measurement range of 30 to 120 dBμV at a precision level of ±1.5 dB. It is able to analyze QAM 32 64 128/ITU-TJ.83 Annex A/B/C modulated signals and provides a spectrum analysis span of 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 62.5 MHz. PC toolbox software and constellation diagram display are provided. It communicates via an RS232 interface or a USB port for data exchange.

High Performance Universal Programmer

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched its high performance universal programmer which operates in both PC hosted mode and stand-alone mode. It is designed for use with multiple devices including programmable read-only memory (PROM), programmable logic devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory. This programmer belongs to GAO’s Embedded Development Tools family of products.

This compact universal programmer, model B0M70001, offers a 48-pin ZIF socket with universal drivers and features test vector capability and a multi-array fuse map editor. It automatically identifies the manufacturer and type of EPROM and also identifies TTL/CMOS logic IC device insertion. It starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion in auto-run mode. The programmer accepts standard file formats including JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS) and INTEL HEX16. Universal DIP, PLCC, QFR, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP and SDIP adapters are available for this high performance programmer. It offers eight languages including English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Korean, Poland, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. In addition, this programmer connects to a computer via a USB port and manages the 16 bit and 32 bit word split under Windows XP/2000/NT/Vista operating systems.

Portable CATV Signal Level Meter

This easy-to-use CATV signal level meter, model 1151B, operates over a broad frequency band of 46 to 870 MHz or 5to 870 MHz. The peak-hold level measurement function in both LEVEL and SPECTRUM modes makes it possible to detect the occasional fluctuation.
