High Performance USB PC Based Oscilloscope

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched this high performance USB PC based oscilloscope, which is well suited for maintenance of electronic equipment and laboratory work in fields such as science, medicine, engineering, telecommunications and industry.

This portable USB PC based oscilloscope, model2250, features a maximum real-time sampling rate of 250MS/s and 100MHz bandwidth. It offers 23 measurement functions and PASS/FAIL checking .It is vertically adjustable with four modes: CH1, CH2, Dual Channel and ADD with a resolution of 8bit and has auto, normal and single trigger modes. The versatile digital oscilloscope displays waveform average, persistence, intensity, invert, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and X-Y plot. Its waveform output can be saved in text, MS Word, Excel or graphic (JPG or BMP) formats under most Windows operating systems from 98 to Vista. Portable and Easy-to-Use SDH/PDH Transmission Analyzer

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. is offering its portable and easy-to-use SDH/PDH transmission analyzer. It is widely used in R&D, manufacture, acceptance testing, performance monitoring, maintenance and measurement of SDH/PDH networks and equipment.

This easy-to-use analyzer, model801, features a compact size, a large TFT LCD touch screen and high reliability. It is an ideal solution for the installation and troubleshooting of E1, DS3, STM-1/OC-3, STM-4/OC-12 and STM-16.OC-48 lines. It supports bit error rate testing and indicates a variety of errors in SDH and PDH systems. This analyzer conducts performance analysis according to international standards such as G.821, G.826, G.828, G.829, M.2100 and M.2101. It tests jitter signals at a maximum test rate of 2048kbit/s. High Performance 1000Base-T SFP Copper Transceiver

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. recommends its high performance and cost effective 1000Base-T SFP copper transceiver which is designed for single mode (SM) optical fiber. This transceiver is compliant with Gigabit Ethernet and 1000BASE-T standards as specified in IEEE802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab for 1.25 Gigabit over unshielded twisted-pair category-5 cable. It ofers 1000Mbps full duplex data-links with 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signals. This transceiver is also compliant with RoHS, SFP MSA, FCC 47 SFR Part 15, Class B and SONET/SDH recommendations for OC-48 specifications. It is widely used in serial telecom and datacom applications.

This 1000Base-T SFP copper transceiver, model HTSFP-24-111X, features low power consumption, operates at the wavelength of 1310nm and offers excellent immunity to interference. It is composed of two sections: a transmitter section and a receiver section. The transmitter section incorporates FP and a driver IC with temperature compensation and an automatic power control circuit. The receiver section incorporates an efficient InGaAs/InP PIN photodiode and trans-impedance with AGC for wide dynamic rage. This transceiver has a small form factor package, a compact RJ-45 connector assembly, a LVPECL data interface which simplifies interfacing to external circuitry and an EEPROM which is used to store detailed product information. In addition, the physical layer IC can be accessed via 2-wire serial bus.

High-Performance Universal Programmer Features Automatic Identification

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. is now offering its high-performance universal programmer that supports more than 8000 devices – more than its predecessors while maintaining the dependability and cost effectiveness enjoyed by the older models. It is capable of handing many different devices including Programmable Read-Only Memory (PROM), Programmable Logic Devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory.

This upgraded universal programmer, model VP380, includes a 48-pin ZIF socket that can be used for 8-pin to 48-pin DIP package devices. It features a high programming speed, test vector capability, multi-array fuse map editor, device insertion detection and poor-pin-contact check. This optimized universal programmer automatically identifies the manufacturer and type of EPROMs and TTL/CMOS logic IC and tests TTL/CMOS logic ICs and dynamic/static random access memory devices. In auto-run mode, it starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion. In addition, this universal programmer accepts input from most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, or CAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA.

High Performance Logic Analyzer

Digital Color Video Quad Processor

DDS Arbitrary Function Generator & Frequency Counter

High Performance Graphic Multimeter Features Screen Hold Function

High-performance Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer Features Wide Pulse Width

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has launched its high performance Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) which is designed to measure unit, connection or transmission loss and locate faults and breaks in optical fibers. The mini-OTDR is widely used in the manufacture, construction and maintenance of optical networks.

This lightweight OTDR, model 6413, reads and writes files in Bellcore GR196 file format and offers a long identification range from 1.6km to 512km. It features 1.6m short event dead zone, 0.1m sample resolution with 65k sampling points, pulse widths ranging from 10ns to 20,480ns and a high dynamic range of 42dB to 40dB which ensures accurate signal processing. The rugged OTDR provides a USB interface for data transmission and also transmits data to a PC via a serial or parallel interface. FC and UPC connectors are provided for selection. The high performance OTDR works continuously for eight hours when it is fully charged; battery levels are displayed accordingly.
