Protocol-Converter

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has released its portable protocol converter to its popular product line. It is designed to convert 1-4 E1 channels to 10/100 Base-T Ethernet. The converter is commonly used to convert the Ethernet data frames into HDLC frames which that can be transferred via WAN. This protocol converter is E1 fault-tolerant, is simple to maintain and operates in both full and half duplex modes.

This protocol converter, model RB-4G, is compliant with IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u and IEEE802.1Q standards. It transmits Jumbo Frames as specified in the IEEE 802.1Q standard and performs Ethernet switching with VLAN capability. The converter provides flexibley configuration and can extend bandwidth up to 7.68Mbps that forfor  high data rate transmission by using four E1 channels. It can also automatically inspect an effective E1 channel without interrupting data transmission and will only reduce the data throughput even if part of the E1-channel fails.
