It is a new generation of high performance optical network test meter using the latest laser exploration and processing technology. This optical power meter is able to distinguish the type of fiber, accurately test fiber loss, check the fiber continuity and evaluate the transmission quality of a fiber chain using the laser source. It is widely used in the testing of LANs, wide-area networks (WANs), metropolitan networks and CATV or long-distance fiber networks.

The portable optical power meter, model 800, tests linearity and non-linearity and displays both direct and relative optical power tests. It tests optical power within the wavelength ranges of 800nm to1600nm in μW, dB and dBm. This optical power meter features a storage capacity of 100 groups, a low power indication function and supports auto shut off which kicks after ten minutes of inactivity. FC, ST and SC adapters are available. It works continuously for 28 hours with a 9V NI-MH rechargeable battery and has a high resolution LCD screen.

It can be used as an extension or a divider in LANs with bit rate base structures. This compact Ethernet Bridge supports VLAN transfer and 10/100M half and full duplex modes. It should be used in environments without corrosive and solvent gas, dust or strong magnetic field interference. The Ethernet Bridge provides two selectable time modes: Line clock and INT clock to meet various requirements. It supports data rates of N×64kbps (N=1 to 32) and has a 75ohm unbalanced E1 port impedance. This Ethernet bridge also features rate conversion and slot extraction functions – extract appointed slot from G.703 E1 to form a V.35 channel. The data interface mode is DCE and it can dock with DTE devices.

GAO Tek Inc’s ADSL2+ tester, model 701D, also functions as a digital multi-meter (DMM) to test subscriber telephone connectivity and line parameters. It implements line parameter testing including up and down channel rate, line attenuation, noise margin, transmission power and use rate of channel. The tester also automatically detects line errors and displays such alarms as signal loss, frame loss, power loss and cell loss at both the proximal end and remote end. This handheld optical time-domain reflectometer, model 6416, offers four optional wavelengths containing 1310nm, 1550nm, 1625nm and 1490nm and provides visual fault location for testing passive optical networks (PON) in FTTx. It features an extremely short event dead zone; a clear, bright, anti-reflective TFT LCD; fast auto measurements and simple operation. It uses all-electronic calibration – there are no POTs on the card to adjust. The parallel data acquisition card is intended for transient signal recording, refined frequency synthesis, multi-channel parallel acquisition and time-phase-sensitive acquisition.

The parallel data acquisition card, model PCI2712S, has four high speed ADC and four independent programmable gain amplifiers. The data acquisition operation of this card is triggered by either software, internal or external events. The voltage signal acquisition ranges from 100mV to 20V, and the sampling depth of each channel is up to 16Msps. With a maximum sampling rate of 20Msps, this unit is an ideal solution for the formation of multi-channel virtual instrument systems.

This portable fault tester is used by telecom and exchange room operating staff, line attendants, mobile phone servicing staff and other telecom technicians.

The optimized circuit fault tester, model 8AS, provides rich functions such as automatic line state assessment, loop resistance and dielectric resistance measurement, field calibration and line alignment which can be achieved even when all line parameters are unknown on a line of known length. This portable circuit fault tester tests for defective insulation and telephone line state. It also detects presence of high voltage and wire breaks at distances of up to 9km with a 1m resolution. Wire cables with diameters of 0.32mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm can be tested in local communication lines. Additionally, the fault tester works continuously for ten hours when it is fully charged.
